Heat Network Zoning Pipeline: expression of interest
The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) is looking to develop its zoning pipeline and identify the next tranche of zones to be brought forward for implementation. Strategic and local authorities in England are invited to respond with information on zone opportunity areas in their local areas by the 29 May. Heat Network Zoning Emissions Limit: new carbon calculator
Based on the government’s response to the heat network zoning consultation, from 2030, all new and expanded heat networks in zones must meet a carbon emissions limit. A new tool has been developed to help you calculate the emissions of your heat networks against the new limit.

Heat Network Efficiency Scheme: Round 12 applications
Applications for the Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES) Round 12 are now open, closing on the 22 May.

Warm Homes Fund: call for evidence
£3.3 billion will be available through the Warm Homes Fund to drive forward the deployment of low-carbon technologies and help bring the benefits of clean power to people in their homes and communities. A call for evidence is now open till the 1 June to help DESNZ identify how the Warm Homes Fund could deliver the greatest impact.
Section 2F is dedicated to heat networks, seeking views on how the government can further support the development of heat networks and help them compete with gas heating.
