People living in over 400 social homes in the South West of England will benefit from improvements to boost energy efficiency, following a successful bid by South West Energy Hub.
£4.7million of funding provided through the Government’s Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) will see 467 homes in the region receive new heat pumps, double glazing, solar panels and external roof and wall insulation.
These changes will improve energy performance rating to a ‘C’ rating or higher, lowering energy bills and making homes warmer.
South West Energy Hub will work with social landlords in the delivery across the South West region. Alongside the £4.8million of Government funding, an additional £3.5million will be match funded by partners including:
- Elim Housing Association
- LiveWest
- North Devon Homes
- Homes in Sedgemoor
- Ocean Housing
- Abri Housing
- Shal Housing
- Somerset West and Taunton District Council
